Mavoblos are a primordial Subspecies of Monoblos found only in the New World.

Physiology[]

They're much smaller in comparison to their cousins but what they lack in size they make up in having pure raw muscle trained from countless encounters in the scorching deserts and freezing tundras. Their crests take a similar appearance to a Sinoceratops complete with 2 holes as well. A major difference is the 2 incredibly large horns positioned in front of one another meant for gutting any opponents they ram into. These have become much sharper than a Monoblos due to the fact they're not capable of digging underneath opponents to exploit their blind spots meaning they'll have to charge and pierce thick layers of hard shell. Their shells are much thicker as well to compensate for their different fighting style as it must protect them from all manner of attack

Abilities[]

Due to lacking the digging capabilities of their relatives these Monoblos rely solely on their horns and leg and arm strength to propel themselves forward at surprisingly fast speeds to gut opponents. When they're in contact with mud they'll lather themselves in it to provide an extra layer of defense which can also sometimes stick to their opponents impeding their movements in the process. The same can be said for snow as well.

Behavior[]

Mavoblos have a similar temperament to Monoblos save for their tendency to stay close to swamp like areas in the wild. Although they're much less aggressive compared to their relatives when coming into contact with something such as a hunter. They'll usually try to signify their territory before going in for the attack which results in an even more battle ready monster than Monoblos itself.

Role in the Food Chain[]

Minimal - Extremely Low - Low - Average - High - (Extremely High) - Apex - Legend

Main Prey: Vegetation

Arch-Rivals: Rathalos, Glavenus, etc

Tracks: Mossy Blos prints

Habitat[]

Mavoblos have a much more varied range of habitats compared to most other monsters as they can easily traverse the scorching hot deserts and are known to endure the biting cold of everlasting Tundra's. Their nomadic nature is due the fact they are widespread across multiple regions leading many to look for mates.

Mavoblos
Mavoblos Icon by TheElusiveOne A monoblos relative with a more nomadic lifestyle that takes it to all manner of places. What it lacks in some abilities it more than makes up for it with extremely deadly charges, and pure raw aggression towards anything that challenges it.

Notes[]

This is a revamp of White Monoblos.

Made due to White Monoblos being a heavily underdeveloped subspecies with no lore besides 'genetic mutation'.
