Marshland Zamtrios is a subspecies of the Amphibian Zamtrios first appearing in Monster Hunter World Cataclysm.
Physiology[]
Marshland Zamtrios is a large, quadrupedal monster, similarly to regular Zamtrios, but with green-brown skin, markings across its body that resembles dripping mud and striking violet fins. It is superficially shark-like in appearance, with a long, pointed snout and a mouth filled with multiple rows of sharp teeth. Marshland Zamtrios is often seen covered in a green, slick, slime-like substance, which renders it very slippery and hard to pierce with weaponry. As the adult form of Marshland Zamite, its limbs are powerful and fully-developed. Its skin is extremely elastic in order to accommodate its inflation abilities.
Abilities[]
Marshland Zamtrios is a physical threat, with large teeth and claws that it can use to shred it prey apart. It is also capable of ejecting a noxious poison from its mouth, and its fins are coated in a similar poison, which it uses to slash at prey to poison them. It can cover itself in its slime to render attacks to its back, legs and tail useless, as they simply slide off. In addition, it can also fill itself with fluid and swell up to massive proportions. In this state it is capable of rolling and jumping on top of targets in an effort to crush them. When "popped" the Marshland Zamtrios will expel vast quantities of slime from its mouth, making the ground become very slippery.
Ecological Information[]
Placement in Food Chain[]

Behaviour Toward Other Monsters[]
Marshland Zamtrios will defend its home from lesser and equal invades, but will flee from larger creatures unless cornered.
