The Laboratory Courtyard is a special, one-area zone. It is a large patch of stone and grass located directly outside a tall, gothic castle, and it is inhabited by two Furious Rajang. The Laboratory Courtyard features mainly flat terrain with a few rocky outcroppings & towers rising from the land, and the sky over it is filled with dark thunderclouds. Lightning occasionally strikes the ground, creating an additional hazard. This area is notable for being the courtyard of the laboratory where Hideous Rajang is created, hence its name.
Areas[]
- Base Camp: A simple base camp, with all the necessary supplies and bed. It is on a tower of the castle, overlooking the courtyard.
- Area 1: A large expanse of rock and grass. arranged in a checkerboard-like pattern. The rocky outcroppings and small towers can create a place for hunters to hide from the attacks of the Furious Rajang, but these structures can be toppled by Furious Rajang's attacks. Keep alert, as lightning can strike in random spots, heralded by a bright flash on the ground. This lightning can cause heavy damage and inflict Thunderblight.
Trivia[]
- Hideous Rajang cannot be fought here, but it can be seen escaping from this area after its creation in a brief cutscene.
- The Furious Rajangs in this area do not live here naturally, but were transported here for an experiment.
