Grobod are small Amphibian monsters found in swamps and jungles.

Appearance[]

Grobod look similar to toads, but they have a massive head with big eyes and horn-like protrusions which are very big compared to their size. Grobod's mouth is very wide and they have bright yellow throat sac. Their hind legs are strong for jumping, but their fingers are small and round. They have a general brownish green tone with dark marks.

Behavior[]

This amphibians inhabit moist environments such as jungles and swamps. They are very territorial and feed on anything they can swallow, specially Neopteron like Bnahabra. They enjoy resting in the mud and are known for their noisy calls during the night, the call of a Grobod can be heard at long distances.

Grobod are very territorial, in spite of their size, and will attack any intruders on sight. They are very cautious when choosing ponds for nesting because of the high number of threats in their habitat and are very protective with their offspring. When threatened they will try to scare off the predator by inflating up their bright throats. Their horns are meant to defend themselves, display and prevent other predators from swallowing them whole, even though they are known to have a horrible taste, like bitterbugs.

Abilities[]

Grobod's abilities aren't very remarkable as they are very similar to toads, they mostly attack jumping forward to hit with their horns or biting enemies with their broad mouths. Sometimes they will spit an oily substance that inflicts soiled status. They can also inflate up for some seconds, provoking green sharpness weapons to bounce off.

Notes[]

  • If hit by a torch, they will flee burrowing underground.
  • There's a low percentage of obtaining Paddock Oil when carving them.
