Description[]
Kantalania have armored orange bodies with splotches of black and white spots and dark brown underbellies with little to no patterns; overall it possesses a standard leviathan body shape. The most striking feature of Kantalania is its long and whip-like tails that ends in a structure greatly resembling that of a rattlesnake rattle. Kantalania's head is slender, armored and filled with many short and sharp fangs; the skull shape overall greatly resembles the heads of real world vipers and serpent but unlike the animals it is based upon it has a frill of horns lining the back of its head. The limbs of Kantalania are short and robust with the digits each ending in moderately sized claws that are largest on the forelimbs.
Abilities[]
Kantalania is a physically powerful and heavily built monster that can use its robust clawed limbs to burrow through solid terrain with ease and ambush prey and hunters from bellow; while not as adapted to aquatic life as other species of leviathans Kantalania is still a capable swimmer.

Habitat Range[]
Kantalania can be found inhabiting a wide range of habitats ranging from forests to deserts and the adaptability of these leviathans means they can be found inhabiting most popular hunting locales. Kantalania can be found inhabiting areas such as Verdant Hills, Desert, Jungle, Marshland, Moga Woods, Flooded Forest, Sandy Plains, Misty Peaks, Ancestral Steppe, Primal Forest, Sunken Hollow/Volcanic Hollow, Heaven's Mount, Dunes, Ancient Forest, Wildspire Waste, Rotten Vale, Citadel and the Guiding Lands.
Ecological Niche[]
Within the jungles, deserts and grasslands, Kantalania easily asserts itself as the top predator in its environment, being capable of subsisting on the plethora of small monsters and carrion within its environment. These leviathans aren't picky eaters and will often spend most of their day foraging for much smaller creatures like fish, carapaceons and neopterons; although theses monsters are easily capable of hunting smaller monsters such as Aptonoth, Apceros, Kelbi and Kestodon whenever they can catch them. Other large monsters such as Yian Kut Ku, Jyuratodus and Barroth can easily be injured by and often fall prey to Kantalania during territorial struggles; however, Kantalania face heavy competition from many other top predators such as Rathalos and Rathian, which compete with the leviathan for prey; Kantalania must also be weary of large territorial herbivores such as Diablos and Duramboros as these ornery wyverns dislike sharing space with predators. Kantalania have little to fear in terms of predators but they still need to be wary of even deadlier monsters such as elder dragons and the occasional gigantic flying wyverns such as Akantor, Ukanlos and Ferrumos.
Biological Adaptations[]
WIP
Behavior[]
While not outright aggressive these leviathans are territorial and will become aggressive when approached or agitated by hunters and other monster. These monsters are known to sunbathe when not agitated or after consuming prey. Although they usually forage upon land these leviathans will occasionally enter water in search of aquatic prey such as fish.
Social Behavior[]
Kantalania are antisocial monsters and prefer to avoid other of their own species except during the breeding season. These monsters have occasionally been documented committing cannibalism on smaller members of their kind.
