Gosstalessa is a beautiful but nefarious Bird Wyvern that is an extremely rare sight in the Old World but strangely when one is seen, so is another...

Physiology

Gosstalessa typically have robust builds with a hooked beak, featherclad head-tethers that stick out from each side of its head, its back and tail being a hard carapace while the sides of its body and its underbelly consists of patches of white and pink feathers that end in feathered tethers that run amongst its tail. Its wings retains a massive burst of different colours and heavily resembles that of the monarch butterfly. Their wings consist of trabecular bones that is a honeycomb shape, combined with the wings being so light allows the bird wyvern to fly despite its relatively short-sized wings.

Behavior

Their beautiful and glamorous appearance is just a facade, these creatures are extremely dangerous and extreme caution is very much advised. Their singing is said to have devastating side-effects combined with the fact their bodies are coated in a large array of toxins. The bird wyvern is very much hostile and will attack on sight if it spots the hunter.

Abilities

Gosstalessa physically has a very sharp beak that it can use to pierce close-up opponents but the bird wyverns main arsenal consists of its vile singing that can range from shutting down the nervous system or halting the internal operations that occur inside the body which can be fatal. The Gosstalessa itself is also armed with pores in each of its individual feathers that consist of powerful toxins, the pink feathers emit a deadly poison miasma/liquid while the white feathers emit a tranquilising substance. If thats not enough, the pores that lie within its wing-limbs emit a powder that is said to have hallucinogenic properties to confuse adversaries that would wind up seeing hallucinogenic clones of the bird scattering everywhere. Lastly its saliva has depressant properties that exhaust the adversary of their stamina, making them drousy and almost immobile.

Rage and Tired States

• Rage State: It wings emit a flash of differing colours along with eye-like markings, its green eyes turn red in colour.
• Tired State: Will leak saliva from its beak and its body overall will look less saturated.

The hunter mounts it the same way they mount other Bird Wyverns.

Habitat Range

Gosstalessa is a very rare sight in Minegarde, so much so that the people of Verudo City consider it a spirit. Most sightings have been documented in the Lost Ruins that sit at the Hinrenum Mountains.

Ecological Niche

Due to its intoxicating feathers, its vicious vocals, its intelligence and overall size being quite large for a bird wyvern, the graceful Gosstalessa sits at the top of the food chain with very little threatening it. Although Gosstalessa and Warudakos have been known to get in tussles quite often, the reason for this is rumoured to be Gosstalessas singing in order to catch prey is picked up on by Warudakos which is another Bird Wyvern that is actually capable of singing. Rumour also states that either or have very similar mating calls thus confusion ensues before the two then proceed to fight.

Biological Adaptations

Despite them being quite large in height, Gosstalessas have a light body-frame and light wing-bones to match, allowing the bird wyvern to fly with such efficency, speed and grace.

Lore

Gosstalessas in Verudo City are known as the Divinity Yokai, a bird spirit that grants either good fortune or bad fortune depending on how you interact with the spirit. Its said singing along with the spirit increases the chances of good fortune but the person will have to be careful to keep their vocalisation leveled, one wrong note and the spirit will kill the person without hesitation. Legend has it that a mysterious geisha woman not only successfully sang but danced while singing to the spirit and succeeded in taming it. Its unknown if this legend is true, it often presumed that the geisha woman was a highly skilled Rider that was able to tame fully grown monsters. There are no leads on who this woman could be.

Gosstalessas in Riveru City are dismissed as a creature of myth and refuse to acknowledge its existence, this might be linked to the separation they want to enforce between themselves and Verudo City.

When provoked they will unleash a devastating multitude of ailmental properties along with a nefarious singing that is the alluring opposition of Warudakos but this beautiful singing is also a facade. There are no known reports on its effects as any hunters who listen do not come back from their trance...
