Update[]

Hello, I am BlazingMammoth, the creator of this page. I am making this update to inform any moderators that see this page that it is open for adoption. I'm currently working on another fangame, and due to policies on this site, I cannot work on both at the same time. As well, I am unsatisfied with how I handled the concept and would like to see it in better hands.

Thank you.[]

Monster Hunter: Domination is an online multiplayer Monster Hunter spinoff where players control monsters and fight to the death in battle royales.

Gameplay[]

Players will be thrown into lobbies as they wait for the round to start. 4 players are required to start a round. In the lobby, players will appear as hunters with the features of their customizable avatar. Each monster will be in a pen on the north, west, south, and east sides of the lobby. If the player interacts with it, they can change the monster they'll be playing as, their cosmetics, provide pre-game boosts at the cost of zenny, which the player will earn for doing things such as daily tasks, killing players or NPCs, or winning rounds. Once the round starts, each player will be placed in a different area of the map.

During rounds, players will not only have to worry about being killed by other players, but also survival-related aspects such as food and water. In the player's starting areas, there will be an ample amount of food and water. The food items will change depending on the diet of the monster being played. If the player's food or water reaches 0, they will begin to take damage until they find a food or water source. The player also has a stamina meter that will decrease as they run, fly, swim, jump, or use certain actions. The player is able to rest to increase stamina regeneration, as well as restore health, but they will be unable to move or attack while doing so. Players will be unable to rest while near another player, unless in team mode.

After a certain amount of time has passed depending on the time settings, remaining players will be forced into the central area of the map, where they must fight to the death. Around the map, there will be small monster NPCs that players will be able to kill to receive zenny, or gain food in the case of carnivores. Even if the small monsters are depleted, more will respawn over time.

The host of a round is able to control a variety of settings per round. There's the simple things, such as time, cooldowns for certain events, etc. The host is also able to restrict the types of monsters people are able to play, such as diet, monster class, element, danger level, etc. This is in order to avoid players maining monsters that are either overpowered or in the meta, or create fun challenges for players.

Modes[]

Solo Hunt[]

A singleplayer mode where the player is put up against 3 other players. The player must hunt down the other players and kill them in order to win. If a player is killed, they are eliminated and can spectate one player at a time or leave the server.

Team Hunt[]

Similar to Solo Hunt, but the 4 players are put into 2 teams of 2. Team members cannot deal damage to each other, and must eliminate the other team to win. However, the rewards of Team Hunt are worse than Solo Hunt's rewards.

Siege[]

A mode where all 4 players are teamed up to kill a very powerful large monster. If all 4 players are eliminated, they lose the round. The monsters available to siege in this mode are: Shen Gaoren, Abyssal Lagiacrus, Lao-Shan Lung, Ashen Lao-Shan Lung, Fatalis, Crimson Fatalis, White Fatalis, Yama Tsukami, Ceadeus, Goldbeard Ceadeus, Jhen Mohran, Hallowed Jhen Mohran, Dah'ren Mohran, Alatreon, Amatsu, Dire Miralis, Dalamadur, Shah Dalamadur, Gogmazios, Nakarkos, Zorah Magdaros, Xeno'Jiiva, Safi'Jiiva, Shara Ishvalda, Kulve Taroth, Versa Pietru, Makili Pietru. Thirst and hunger are not present in this mode, and rewards will decrease as players die.

Extinction[]

Each player will be thrown into an arena where several small monsters spawn. The objective is to kill the most small monsters. Players can stagger each other, but players cannot die in this mode. Whoever kills the most players in this mode wins.

Fugitive[]

A team of hunters is sent out to capture the monsters. Whichever monster can hide and escape from the hunter until the others are captured will win. The hunters have a varied arsenal of equipment to capture the monsters, so players must expect anything.
