Lophodraco is an extinct species ancestral Flying Wyvern. While this small extinct Flying Wyvern is more advanced than primitive Flying Wyverns such as Wyvern Rex, Remobra and Aerosquamatos it is more primitive than most modern Flying Wyverns and is likely an ancestor to bipedal Flying Wyverns.

Physiology[]

Lophodraco was a proto-flying wyvern that was small in stature and was similar in in appearance to other basal ornithischian dinosaurs, this proto-flying wyvern has a skull similar to those of lesothosaurus with its jaws having a horny beak, small tusks and iguana-like teeth. The body is covered in a shell similar to that found on scutellosaurus. The head is covered in many horn-like growths that were most likely used for either display or defense. The forelimbs are primarily built for walking and climbing, but do a primitive wing-like structure. The hindlimbs are fairly standard for an ornithischian dinosaur and have yet to evolve the many specialized traits of its descendants.

Abilities[]

Although it is impossible to know exactly what this proto-flying wyvern was capable of it is speculated to have been a low tier monster on its ecosystem due to it seemingly lacking many of the traits that helped its descendants become apex predators. Due to its elongated 4th and 5th digits, it was likely able to glide between trees that it climbed as a means of either hunting prey or escaping predators.

Behavior[]

Due to its extinct nature it will be impossible to figure out how this monster lived its life, but its small size indicates it would have likely have been a shy and skittish creature.

Habitat[]

Due to other fossils found near by, it is speculated that this basal flying wyvern may have inhabited temperate and subtropical swampy woodlands and marshes.
