The Blighted Reef is a dead coral reef with a small volcano at its coast. It is the 5th unlockable area of the game. Both the volcano and reef are accessible. Both volcanic and aquatic monsters reside in this area.
Layout[]
On the Western side of the map is a small volcano with a network of volcanic caverns. On the Eastern side is a shoreline that leads to the dead coral reef. The reef is playable, and becomes more lively as the player goes deeper. There is a crater around the right-side center in the reef with a large rock at the bottom of the cave system it leads into. Presumably, a large volcanic rock fell into the reef and broke through the coral and brittle rock.
Hazards[]
- Occasionally, small volcanic rocks will erupt from the volcano. An orange circle on the ground will signify where it will land.
- If the player walks into lava inside the volcano, they will take rapid damage and become inflicted with fireblight.
